A pro-active business and real estate lawyer with broad experience representing financial institutions, developers, businesses and individual investors in a variety of real estate and business matters, Bill brings both litigation and transactional expertise to his clients.

 

Bill handles a wide variety of issues involving real estate, business contracts, commercial law, debt collection and probate matters.  An experienced creditors’ rights attorney, he has represented banks in loan workouts, commercial and residential foreclosures, in the state, federal and bankruptcy courts.

Bill handles commercial real estate contracts and closings, working with clients through due diligence and the documentation and securitization of commercial loans involving real estate and other assets.  He works with special asset officers and property managers on a wide range of property management issues, including drafting and enforcing leases, forcible evictions, real estate tax matters and general liability.  With developers, property owners and investors, Bill works on all aspects of real estate acquisitions and sales, from development and due diligence through title clearance, commercial leasing, zoning and real estate tax appeals.

 

Entrepreneurs and start-up companies also leverage Bill’s transactional experience, using his counsel in corporate matters such as entity formation, succession planning and ongoing compliance.

Bill was raised in South Holland, Illinois, attended St. Jude the Apostle Parish/School and then Marist High School in Chicago.  He has been a Naperville resident since 2005, along with his wife, children and "Pete" the dog.  In his free time, Bill enjoys biking (completed a 585 mile bike tour in New York this summer), live music and guitar, backyard grilling, boating and Chicago and Big Ten sports.
